Losing It!
Kirsty Hull, 26, Northern Ireland
Was… 16st. Now… 10st.
No surprise then that, at age 14, I was bullied.
Huge portions and endless snacks meant I became a fat adult, a size-22.
Then, three years ago, I was out shopping and I had to walk past all the pretty dresses to the outsize range at the back.
I felt desperate as I looked at the rail. I didn’t want to wear these shapeless clothes any more.
So I started making small changes – semi-skimmed milk instead of full fat, grilling rather than frying food, a smaller plate to cut down my portion size.
I walked everywhere, danced to the TV’s music channels.
I lost 6lb in the first week, then 1-2lb per week after.
Three years later and I’m a size-12!
Not buying junk food has saved me a fortune, which I’ve spent on clothes. I’ll never wear outsize again!
